The nursery

We have been in the process of changing our spare room into a nursery. We still have plenty of time to get things finished and fully situated before the little man arrives but I have to go back to work on Aug 7th and August starts the never ending crazy time for Chris at CBU. So we have been working really hard trying to get the major things done... and by "we" I mean CHRIS! He has worked so hard, without complaining of the heat or how tired he is. I am so grateful for his hard work and it is definitely paying off. We are both very pleased with the progress and the way it all looks so far. We hope you like it too...
This is our spare room at the beginning of the process.

First we emptied it so that we could get new carpet. Shortly after that we put in new windows to help regulate the temperature and noise. The original windows from 1923 just weren't cutting it anymore! Then the painting process started.

The painting was a long process. As you can see from the pictures our house has a TON of molding. While we love it and this is what gives our house so much character, it makes painting a long and tedious process! Once the painting was finally done Chris built the crib and dresser.

Now we need to work on wall decorations, finding a chair, and filling the room (with fun stuff and Logan too)!!! We are planning to keep going with the bright colors and bring in some yellow, red, orange, and blue. We will post pictures of the final product sometime closer to Logan's arrival.

Chris is such a stud. I wish I could be half the man he is. Everything turned out great guys!

Very nice. I love the windows and the light that comes in. Great for helping a baby learn to take naps during the day (very important). Chris did a great job painting.

We look forward to pics of baby Logan enjoying his room...a room put together with lots of sweat but mostly love.
