Testing's Back!

State testing starts tomorrow. Last Friday the staff put together an assembly of skits, videos and a dance to get students energized and excited about testing. We tried to find creative ways to communicate some testing tips to the students. The students were also reminded about our schools progress in years past and that our goal for the school is 800 this year.

Somehow a group of ladies that work with me and I have been named the official dance crew of Villegas! The assembly was our second performance. Our first performance was a half time show doing the Thriller dance at the staff versus students football game. This one was a dance to the tune of Sir Mix a Lot's "Baby Got Back". In order to keep it clean and focused on testing, Kristen Moorhouse changed the lyrics and recorded our own version entitled "Testing's Back". I hope you can hear the words because they are pretty clever.

Okay well, this may be slightly embarrassing but it really is hilarious so I just had to share!
ps... I am in the front row all the way to the left at the beginning.

Isn't being a teacher wonderful!?! You can dance like a fool and the students think you are the best thing in the world!!!
