Trying to manage without my main squeeze...

This morning I drove Chris to Ontario airport at about 5:15. He is in Cedarville, Ohio for a student development conference. I am not sure, even after three years with him working in admissions, that I will ever get used to Chris being out of town. I am already missing him like crazy! To get a kiss good night, catch a smile or a wink across the room, share a meal and a full conversation, have our feet touch in bed at night... these are just some of the things that are missed with so many states in the way!
I decided when I was pulling out of the aiport that I am going to do my best to use my time wisely while he is gone. Today has been a good start. This morning I was at work 2 hours early and my classroom is now almost completely bare and ready for summer (only 4 more school days). I played in the staff v students basketball game. While it was my first official basketball game, I managed to make one basket, get one rebound and of course talk a lot of trash to those little middle school students!! =) Chris would have been so proud! I ended the day by spending the evening with Christian who is 4 and Amelia who is 1 so their dad could take their mom on a date. They were so cute!
Tomorrow after work I am going to meet with Kim and Jeni for dinner at the Olive Garden (yum!). And on Wednesday I get to go to Huntington to see my good friend Emily's new apartment. Then it is finally Thursday and I get to pick Chris up at like 9 ish.
I am so proud of my efforts to fill my schedule with time with friends when it would have been so easy to just hang out at home alone. Throughout it all I will be missing Chris!
A little cheesy, I know, but here are few words to describe my man...
C: Caring, compassionate, calming
H: honest, handsome, hilarious, honoring to the Lord
R: real, respectful, rational, romantic
I: inspiring, innovative, irreplaceable, intentional
S: strong, sincere, sensible, sentimental

Hello Hofschroer's!

The Shecklers welcome you guys to the blog world. We, or I should say, I (Kevin), am pretty lame about not leaving comments on other peoples blogs, but I do check them out occasionally.

Anyway, you guys are cool and if I was a dog I'd really want to get to know yours. Too much information I know, but I have a lot of caffeine in my system.

Blessings to you, Amy & Chris!
