Okay well Logan has been one now for almost two months but I am just now getting to blogging about his birthday! It has been such an amazing year and it was so fun to get to celebrate his sweet life!
We had his party in the gameroom at CBU. It was a nice location because there were plenty of things for people to do. Pool and shuffleboard for the adults, toys for the kiddos. The theme was kind of a spin off of Dr. Seuss... mainly the colors, letters and rhymes!
We used Dr. Seuss's "Happy Birthday to You" book as a guestbook. We thought it would be a cool tradition for each of his birthdays to get a different book each year for people to write a sweet note in. If the book could fit the theme and/or be birthday related that would be a bonus! =) It worked this year at least! (one of my favorite parts of the day was getting sit down later that night and read all the notes...)
We of course had to have a candy bar! YUM!

In the midst of all the fun, it was nice to stop and take a moment to thank everyone for being such a special part of our family and Logan's life. We prayed over Logan and really wanted to take the time to THANK GOD for Logan and commit to raise him in a way that might be honoring to the Lord.
Then it was time for cake!
He took a minute to get into the cupcake and then he went for it!

Watching Logan grow, learn new things, discover the world and just getting to see his personality develop has been such a treat over the past year! I of course think he is the cutest little guy ever... those blue eyes and that HUGE smile get me every time but it really is his personality that just makes me melt.
Here are just a few things about Logan... some you may know and some might be new to you.
*He weighed almost 19 pounds at his one year check up. Now he is a little over 20 and rocking mostly 6-12 month clothes still.
*He loves to be silly and have fun and has some great facial expressions to go along with it!
*He loves to dance and you can never play too much music for him!
*He is turning out to be quite the extrovert already, but enjoys one on one time and even likes to play by himself some too.
*He is a good snuggler.
*He blows kisses and gives real kisses pretty freely (usually open mouth kisses... haha!)
*He is a VERY good eater!
*He uses his sign language to say more, please, thank you, food, milk, all done, mommy...
*Ask him how old he is and he'll show you ONE! =)
*If you say "Aww Man" he will smack the top of his head! He has
*He is good with words too... Dada, Mama, byebye, up, dog, papa, ball, please, thank you, cool, pretty, yum, tasty, cracker, banana, sadie, good girl, no, uh oh, ...
* Ask him what Santa says and he will tell you "Ho, ho, ho" (sometimes while patting his belly)
*He is convinced that he and Sadie are in an ongoing game of chase. She is always chasing him of course and he loves it!
* He is such a happy boy that brings so much JOY to our lives!

Love the pictures! The decorations were adorable! Love the cake pictures too! I just love him! (and both of you too!)
Oh that looks so fun! Way to go on the theme, decorations and all those cute cupcakes. If that's his 1st party, think what he'll be expecting when he turns 16! You sure set the bar high! :o) Cass just had her little boy (Porter) this morning at 1am. Can't believe it was over a year ago that that was you.
